Therapy Services

Our comprehensive rehabilitation programs include several types of therapies based on your needs. The types of therapy include physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy and speech/language pathology.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists play a crucial role in assisting patients in regaining independence and functionality in daily activities. They assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their functional status and identify barriers to independent living. They may provide training in activities of daily living, adaptive equipment usage, and environmental modifications to optimize patient's abilities to perform tasks safely and effectively. The occupational therapist help patient's set realistic goals and strategies to overcome challenges, promoting confidence and autonomy.

Physical Therapy 

Physical Therapists play an integral role in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence following illness, injury, or surgery. They assess patient's physical abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement exercises and techniques to improve functional mobility and reduce pain. Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, they monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and educate patients and their families on proper techniques for safe movement and rehabilitation exercises. 

Respiratory Therapy

Our pulmonary program consists of physicians and experienced  

Respiratory Therapists who take a comprehensive and aggressive approach to ventilator weaning. The team works together to wean patients off of the ventilator whenever possible and to increase independence, activity, and comfort. Caring for trash patients is our specialty. When decannulation is not possible, we ensure that the patient and family are all educated on how to live an active lifestyle with in home care techniques and health management.

Speech Therapy 

Our speech therapists play a crucial role in helping individuals recover and improve their communication abilities. They are highly trained professionals who specialize in diagnosing and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders that may arise from various medical conditions or injuries.

In their daily work, speech therapists assess patients to determine their specific communication and swallowing challenges. They create personalized therapy plans that may include exercises to strengthen muscles used for speech and swallowing, techniques to improve articulation and language skills, and strategies to enhance cognitive functions related to communication.

Our dedicated speech therapists collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals within the rehabilitation center, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care. They monitor progress over time, adjust therapy as needed, and provide guidance and support to patients and their families to facilitate recovery and improve quality of life.

In addition to direct patient care, speech therapists may also educate caregivers and family members on communication strategies and provide training on the use of assistive communication devices when necessary.
